The mini nesting block for wild bees
Nesting, protection and hibernation site for native wild bees and insects: mason bees, leafcutter bees, masked bees, solitary wasps and many more. The insect hotel is made of natural, untreated, native ash wood. The wood comes from sustainable, regional forestry from the Chiemgau. The mini nesting block has approx. 34 nesting tunnels with different drillings. 6 mm, 5 mm, 4 mm or 3 mm. The drill holes are additionally sanded to protect the bees from injuries.

Help us too to provide our useful insects with a safe nesting and hibernation aid. The nesting block should be placed or attached at a height of approx. 1.5 to 2.0 metres in a sunny, rain-protected spot facing south. Cleaning or maintenance of the insect hotel is generally not necessary, as the insects usually take care of this themselves. However, you can support them by cleaning abandoned or broken brood cells with appropriate tools (wire, drill, screw, cleaning brushes) until the beginning of March, i.e. before the new wild bee season. You are also welcome to make the insect hotel more colourful, but use natural colours, glazes or oils that are harmless to animals and the environment.
 
Attention:
Since these are naturally grown materials, the filling and grain of the wooden body deviate slightly from the image shown. Do not bring the insect hotel into the house or a warm environment during the winter months, as the insects would otherwise hatch prematurely and die.
